Fully Custom Commissioned Art!

I understand that the process of commissioning original art can be confusing, and at times, frightening! You ask a complete stranger (artist) to bring to life your innermost thoughts and feelings. A two dimensional surface becomes the 'mirror' to reflect your loves, hopes, and fears; for all to see. Let me be honest - art is mean't to stir emotions, be they positive or negative. A true artist will create something that is powerful enough to engage the viewer to pause and reflect inwards. In that short moment of precious time, the artist's role is complete. A 'primeval yearning' to communicate through imagery has been established.

I have simplified the commissioning process to ensure transparency for the clientele, in such a way, as to make the experience of purchasing original art - enjoyable and life enhancing. Every artist has his/her methods of approaching this stage. The end result should be that both client and artist is pleased, and fantastic art was created!

1. Submit Request - Fill out a request form. Include basic info regarding choice of mediums, size, paper/canvas/board etc.
2. Lets Connect - I will look into your request and reply shortly to inform as to whether I can do the work, or not.
3. Initial Payment - A deposit will secure the fact that I have accepted the commission, and that both parties agreed to the artwork pricing.
4. Research/Concept - At this stage, I will contact you for a more indepth understanding of exactly what you would like me to include in the composition. I will research the subject and create a concept drawing. This period is important because the concept drawing will have most, if not all, of the subject/ideas therein.
5. Your Approval - Once the concept drawing is approved by you, I will know what mediums to use and what surface is to be used for the final artwork. At this stage the second payment is made.
6. Continual Art Updates - You will receive regular photo updates showing the entire process of your artwork creation.
7. Finalising Artwork - I will send you several photos of the completed artwork for your approval. At this stage, you can let me know if you would like the finished artwork framed or not. The final invoice is sent.
8. Shipping - When payment is received, artwork will be crated, insured, shipped to you.

Commissions are open to both private collectors and business clientele. The time it takes for me to create art depends on several factors including - size, detail, media etc. I usually spend 1 - 5 months full time on a given project.
